Lemon

Lemons are best known for its strong antibacterial, antiviral, and immune-boosting powers and their use because lemon juice is a digestive aid and liver cleanser. Lemons contains many substances- notably citric acid, calcium, magnesium, vitamin C, bioflavonids, pectrin, and limonene- that promote immunity and fight infection.

Alemow can be recognized by its protruding mammilla or its knob-like and bumpy exterior. Its shape is round to ovate. The outer skin of the Alemow has an overall yellow hue that will sometimes when immature be brushed with pale green. Its rind has a medium thickness and surrounds a segmented yellow-green inner flesh. Its flesh is very dry for a citrus offering very little juice and it has a highly acidic, bitter and tart flavor.

Younger Pink lemons are variegated, with green and off white stripes on the outside, and a rosé hued pink flesh inside. As the lemons mature the variegation reverts and the pink flesh intensifies. Pink lemons have a tangy and tart flavor, a rich lemon scent and very few seeds if any. Their leaves are highly fragrant, considered the most fragrant among lemon trees. Pink lemons become less acidic with age. They are best suited for their juice and their zest.

The Sweet lemon is medium-sized with an overall rounded shape and a slightly flattened bottom. Its rind is yellow with a pale green tint and later develops an orange hue when fully ripe. The skin is relatively thin and smooth and is rich with aromatic oils. The juicy, greenish flesh has minimal seeds and is nearly acid-less.
